Welcome to Breckenridge

You're staying slope-side at Beaver Run Resort on Peak 9. Here's our local guide — the on-site perks, our favorite spots in town, and everything you need for a smooth, snowy stay.

🔑 Check-in & Basics

A few quick things to get you settled.

  • Check-in: Pull into the 15-minute loading zone out front and head to the front desk — open 24 hours — to pick up your keys and check in.
  • Parking: The resort manages and charges for parking (we're right on the mountain). The front desk will get you set up.
  • Wi-Fi: Connect to Beaver Run Guest — password beaverwifi.
  • Wood-burning fireplace? If your unit has one, firewood and fire starter are free — just pick up the black in-room phone and request firewood.
  • Checkout is 11:00 AM. Nothing special needed — just leave the sofa bed open if you used it, and drop your keys at the front desk.
  • Anything at all, reply to our message or call the front desk 24/7. We're here to help.

🎿 Skiing — Right From Your Door

We're on Peak 9, the most convenient base in Breck.

Ski Right From Your Door — Peak 9

You're slope-side on Peak 9 — click in and ski right from Beaver Run. Peak 9 is Breck's most beginner- and family-friendly base: wide, gentle greens off the Quicksilver SuperChair for first-timers and kids, plus steeper blues and blacks up top when you want more. Ski school and rentals are at the base, and it's the closest peak to downtown Main Street. The Beaver Run SuperChair is your home lift — cruise right back to your door at day's end.

🍽 Eat & Drink

Our tried-and-true favorites around town.

Higgles Ice Cream Treat

Amazing small-batch ice cream on Main Street — the perfect excuse for a family walk downtown.

The Crepe Stand Grab & go

You can't leave Breck without a crepe from the cart on Main Street — sweet or savory, always worth it.

The Gold Pan Saloon Nightlife

One of the oldest bars west of the Mississippi — go for live music on weekends and cold drinks with history.

Breckenridge Brewery & Pub Beer

Just what it sounds like — great brews and solid pub grub on Main Street.

Mi Casa Mexican

Muy bueno! Our pick for Mexican — great margaritas after a day on the mountain.

Fiesta Jalisco Mexican

Our other Mexican favorite — generous portions and quick, friendly service.

Fatty's Pizzeria Groups

Where we usually end up with a crowd — easy, kid-friendly, and they can handle big groups.

Downstairs at Eric's Family

Our go-to with kids — arcade games for them while you relax with a drink and casual American fare.

Blue Moose Breakfast

A local breakfast favorite — hearty plates to fuel a ski day. Get there early on powder mornings.

Columbine Café Breakfast

Another of our breakfast go-tos — cozy, friendly, and delicious.

BreckFast Breakfast

Solid breakfast spot the whole family loves — arrive early on busy days.

Cool River Coffee House Coffee

Great coffee and breakfast on Main Street — a perfect stop before the slopes.

Things to Do

Beyond the slopes — for every kind of day.

Frisco Adventure Park — Tubing Family

A blast for the whole family — a 1,200-ft lift-served tubing hill about 20 minutes away in Frisco. Great for a break from skiing.

Mohawk Lakes Trail Hike

A gorgeous waterfall hike with alpine lakes, summer wildflowers, and old mining relics. One of the most scenic hikes near town (best in summer/fall).

McCullough Gulch Hike

One of our favorite hikes — a moderately challenging climb past a Continental-Divide waterfall to alpine lakes. Stunning payoff at the top.

Great for groups or a snowy afternoon — and the shuttle can drop you close.
